Simple Farmhouse Beef Skillet

Ingredients


  • 1 pound Blue Grotto Beef ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups potatoes, diced small

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional

  • Fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add the diced potatoes and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.

  3. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook for 3 to 4 more minutes.

  4. Add the ground beef and break it apart as it cooks.

  5. Stir in the garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.

  6. Pour in the beef broth and let everything simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the potatoes are tender and most of the liquid has cooked down.

  7. Top with shredded cheddar if desired and let it melt before serving.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
